This use case corresponds to an innovative functionality  NMB (Neuromuscular Blockade) control by drug infusion. This device is aimed as the drastic simplification of the protocol to be followed by the Anaesthetists for automatically controlling in the operating room the level of "Muscle Relaxation" - that is, the deliberate paralysis of the totality of skeletal muscles of a patient under general anaesthesia to which - in addition - Neuromuscular Blockers have been administered; These later are  drugs that inhibit the contraction of skeletal striated muscle fiber through the timely blockage of nicotinic receptors at the level of the neuromuscular synapse. In VALU3S, we want to provide the RGB monitor with an automated system that will be able to control the infusion pumps in order to keep the patient at a desired level of relaxation.

This device uses a modified blood pressure cuff with stimulation electrodes to perform monitoring. This makes it much easier to use than other methods since the placement of the blood pressure cuff is the first thing done in the operating room. The device has been a great success and highly appreciated by anaesthesiologists for its extreme simplicity of use. We are already in the market after passing the required product certifications. It has the certification for Europe , USA and Japan.
