CAMEA company was founded in 1995 as a private company with Czech ownership. It currently employs over 30 people out of whom over 20 are working in the research and development areas. The company is active in the areas of research and development if embedded algorithms for image processing and computer vision, design and implementation of sensors and signal processing devices, hardware-accelerated high performance computing, large-scale deployment of image-processing solutions.

The industrial applications include mass electronics component manufacturing quality control, inspection of automotive wheels welds or cloth-, bottle-, plastic components inspection. Over 1000 video cameras manufactured and installed in applications by the company, both in the Czech Republic and abroad. Traffic applications include video-based red-light and speed enforcement systems, and traffic monitoring which are installed in several cities in the Czech Republic (over 400 cameras in use at the moment). CAMEA is SME experienced in the areas of image and video processing in traffic monitoring and industry including safety issues.

Main contribution of CAMEA in VALU3S will be in the area of testing of road traffic surveillance video-based systems. Individual parts of ecosystems will be put under test and verified using VALU3S tools. Thais will be subsequently evaluated and used for further design/re-design iterations of the developed systems.
